It’s final prep for Jim’s Blues
UNTIL Dublin’s late rally to earn a draw in Salthill last Sunday, this tie was shaping up to be a de facto League semi-final.
Having trailed for most of the game to Galway, had Dublin suffered a rare defeat, Monaghan could have nosed them out of a spot in the League final with a win here.
Although they’ve suffered a couple of All-ireland quarter-final trimmings at the hands of Dublin in recent years, Malachy O’rourke’s side have largely acquitted themselves quite well in League fixtures, losing two of the last three meetings by a single point and the other by three.
Dublin won’t drop their standards regardless of what’s at stake and look set to get back to winning ways.
