DOUVAN is back working after his dramatic fall in the Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Having his first start since being beaten at

2-9 in the two-mile feature 12 months previously, the Willie Mullins star (below) was still going well for the trainer’s son Patrick when coming to grief four fences from home behind Altior.

But both horse and rider walked away unscathed, and Ireland’s champion trainer reported: “Douvan is in good form — he’s been riding out and there’s not a bother on him after his fall at Cheltenham.

“Hopefully he stays right.”
