JOKE’S A CRACKER

Dancer can show ‘em clean pair of heels

-

JOKE DANCER should impress with his moves in the Two Mile Hurdle Series Final Handicap Hurdle (2.40) at Haydock.

The Sue Smith-trained fiveyear-old comes here on a roll, having won three of his last four races.

Successful over course and distance in a novice event at the start of December, Joke Dancer was back in the winner’s enclosure after scoring in handicap company at the course in January.

Following a 10lb rise in the weights, the chestnut registered his third victory of the winter with a length-and-a-quarter supremacy at Newcastle last month.

Each triumph has been gained on heavy terrain, but there’s no reason why the son of Authorized shouldn’t cope with better ground here and there is more to come.

Nigel Twiston-davies and son CRIEVEHILL Sam combine with

(below), who is fancied to defy top weight in the opening Middle Distance Chase Series Final Handicap Chase (2.05).

The six-year-old son of Arcadio turned in a personal best on

Sandown ’s

Imperial Cup undercard three weeks ago, humbling

Aloomomo by 20 lengths.

There’s a 9lb rise in the weights to contend with, but Crievehill should be up to the job.

Also before the ITV cameras at SHANROE IN MILAN Haydock, has plenty going for him in the Staying Chase Series Final Handicap Chase (3.15). ALPHA

At Musselburgh, DELPHINI

looks a worthy favourite for the Borderlescott Sprint Trophy Conditions Stakes (2.25).

The Bryan Smart trainee has emerged victorious from both his visits to Musselburgh and a reproduction of that run will make him hard to beat.

After a keeping-on second over seven furlongs at Chelmsford on his BREAKING most recent start, RECORDS

should relish the step up in trip for the Royal Mile Handicap (3.00).

A drop in class can do the trick for the Kevin Ryan-trained LUALIWA

in Musselburgh’s opener (1.50).
