husband Mark says I don’t need to lose anymore weight and I don’t. I’m happy.

“Yes, there’s still parts of my body I don’t like – like my flabby tummy – but I’ve got a contour swimsuit from Marks & Sparks.

“When the Loose Women costume department got me clothes, it was always from a specialist plus-size line and I would wear scarves to hide my tummy, being anything from a 16 to a 20.”

While she is confident enough to show her physique on Instagram, she declared last year she had never gone naked in front of husband of 28 years, Mark, 57.

So has that changed since she has got her new svelte shape?

“Oh, no,” she insists. “I still wouldn’t take my clothes off in front of my husband. That’s not in my nature to do that. I still go to the bathroom put my nightie on. I’m never going to do it. We come from a Catholic background we don’t strip off in front of each other.”

North London-born Linda used to babysit for Mark – three years her junior – as a teenager.

It was not until she split with

Lauren’s dad after an 11-year relationship, that she fell for him. They went on to have Louis, 26, and Bobbie, 21.

Spandau Ballet hunk Martin Kemp recently admitted he used to have a crush on Linda when they trained together at Anna Scher Theatre school, adding that she was the hottest girl in class.

“I was oblivious,” Linda laughs. “You don’t think of yourself as being a bit of a babe, but I suppose I wasn’t too bad.”

Linda has let slip more than a few
