Silently delivered into a specially designed private hatch, breakfast is ready and waiting for you to enjoy at your own pace in the peace and quiet of your own room, on the terrace or in the garden. Your morning tray will vary based on the season but will always include home-made bread, pastries, butter and yoghurt, together with local produce such as organic smoked salmon and seasonal fruit. For lunch, they also have their own backpack services with homemade picnic goodies to keep you going during the day. Wake late, take your fill of the clean Donegal air, eat a leisurely breakfast. Wander the countryside and watch the landscape change with the weather and light. . This is the perfect place to set a subdued pace and let the busy everyday fade away.

ON a forested slope next to the Swedish West Coast, you will find Anfasteröd Gårdsvik. A modern holiday resort set within the unique nature surroundings and incorporating some hundred years of the history of the farm Anfasterod. The simply stunning resort offerds a wide range of accommodation and you can stay anywhere from the standard hotel cabins to the carefully renovated historical houses. If you feel like being closer to nature (but still want some comfort) you can even stay in the luxury tents, complete with their very own kitchen and bathroom. The hotel cafe and restaurant cook a delicious range of meals all based on the use of organic ingredients and inspired by traditional recipes. The surrounding area hosts a wide range of outdoor activities based on what the sea and forest can offer. If you’re feeling active you can go hiking on one of the many trails in the surrounding forests or for the adrenaline junkies take a wild guided mountain bike ride. Anfasterod offer rental bikes to get around and the closest bus stop is only 800 metres away. Starting from the end of June 2018 you will also be able to take the boat from the hotel’s very own pier to Uddvella for some sightseeing around the bay of Ljungskile.
