‘It’s cool, let’s give it a go’

KLOPP ON HIS CUP FINAL HOODOO (after losing his last five):

“I know the pressure will come, but I only feel the opportunity.

“I am happy to be here in the final. I lost the last five and then you think, ‘oofh really?’. It’s better you lose the semi-final than the final as nobody talks about who lost the semi-final.

“Let’s give it a go, it’s so cool, and it’s so big and you feel all these positive vibes. Let’s use it and accept it’s still football and pretty much anything can happen.” KLOPP ON STAYING FOR FOUR MORE YEARS:

“We’re in a good place, but glory is different – win silverware and everyone is happy... and then I can stay for four more years. We said at the beginning if I am here in four

years and we didn’t win anything then it would be a surprise, so maybe I can fulfil my deal if we win.

“It would be very exceptional and positive and I can’t even imagine how great it would be.” KLOPP ON WINNING FOR THE FANS (not for his own reputation by joining Paisley, Fagan and Benitez as the Reds’ European Cup/champions League-winning bosses):

“Yeah, that would be cool. But I don’t really think about it... it wouldn’t help.

“It was never about me. If we win it, I know what it would mean for all the people in and around Liverpool.

“And it would be well deserved after a long period without big enjoyment. We do it for that and not so I can join a group of outstanding managers.”
