A PENSIONER has completed the last of 22 parkruns across Northern Ireland at Magilligan Prison.

Tommy Fee crossed the finish line at the Lower Drummans event at the Co Derry jail in 26.51 minutes.

The 77-year-old retired teacher from Banbridge, Co Down, joined inmates and prison staff for the 5k event.

He said: “This is my first visit to a prison and I am so impressed by the work of the staff and how they are supporting those in their care.

“It has been such an uplifting and positive experience.”

The parkrun is held within the prison grounds each week. ARIANA Grande has told how she is battling post-traumatic stress disorder following the Manchester bombing atrocity.

The star, 24, opened up about how she has suffered following the Arena explosion, which killed 22 people and left more than 100 injured at her gig.

Ariana said she is in regular contact with one victim, Millie Robson, whose legs were hit by shrapnel in the blast.

“I check in with Millie often on Twitter,” said Ariana in the interview with British Vogue, during which she was often tearful.

The US singer talks about her extreme anxiety, which the writer says could be a sign of post-traumatic stress disorder following the attack on May 22 last year.

Ariana, who has a tattoo of a bee – symbol of Manchester – behind her ear, replies: “I hate admitting it but it very much is. That’s what everyone was telling me. It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss.

“But, yeah, it’s a real thing. I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well.

“Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”

Ariana spoke at length about stress, saying: “I think a lot of people have anxiety, especially right now.”

Asked how bad hers was, she replied: “My anxiety has anxiety... No. I’ve always had anxiety. I’ve never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it but when I got home from tour it was the most severe I think it’s ever been.
