Norman: The Price is right

- BY PETER CARROLL

NORMAN Parke knows Myles Price has a lot to gain from their Brave FC 13 rematch this Saturday night in Belfast’s SSE

Arena, but he thinks his experience will see him over the line.

“My experience of fighting world class competition is going to be a factor for sure,” Parke said ahead of the co-main event clash.

“I’ve fought some of the toughest guys on the planet that tried to grind me down and they couldn’t.

“I don’t think Myles is a grinder. I don’t think he’s going to be able to stay with me in the grappling exchanges. This is a fight that I’m going to dominate from start to finish.”

Ever since he parted ways with UFC, Parke believes his opponents have been out to claim his spot as on of the best lightweights on the European scene.

While he knows that a win for Price would likely be one of the most important of his career, he thinks the Team Ryano man isn’t ready for what he brings to the table.

Parke added: “Every time I fight my opponent is looking to take my spot.

“People might see that as pressure but I think my dedication to training and the fact that I’ve been one of the top guys in Europe for so long shows that I can still defend that spot.

“I’m well aware that he’s got a big opportunity here and that anything can happen in a fight, but all I can see is me being dominant.

“People look at me like I’m their ticket to the UFC,” Parke added.

“They think they can use a fight with me to prove that they’re good enough for that level.”

Following his stellar outing against Lukasz Chlewicki, the Bushmills man in confident.

“I’m coming for the finish out here. I really think I’ll dominate in the clinch area and wear him down very quickly. I think I’ll stop him.”
