UTV, 7pm Doug is feeling pretty low after Terry made off with everything he had. He’s also racked with guilt over Gerry’s death. “It’s all my fault. I’ve caused enough grief to last a lifetime,” he says. In the end, his frustratio­ns take over and he smashes up a police car. Meanwhile, Debbie is floored when Joe breaks up with her after listening to Sarah. Also, the search for Amelia intensifie­s.

CORONATION STREET

UTV, 7.30pm and 8.30pm

Johnny is on the edge, overwhelme­d by grief for Aidan. So when Jenny accidental­ly spills coffee on the suit he’s picked out for Aidan’s burial, he loses his temper and tells Jenny she’s not welcome at the chapel of rest.

Later there are heart-wrenching scenes as Johnny stares at Aidan’s body.

Elsewhere, it’s good news for Michelle when she finds out Ryan will be sticking around. And Eva catches Simon smoking over baby Susie.

EASTENDERS

There are lots of disturbing events in Walford tonight. Kim finds out that Vincent cleared out Pearl’s savings so heads to the police station, but the sergeant tells her they have found a body. Is it Vincent?

Mick steals Stuart’s phone as a prank, but Stuart’s reaction is extreme. Why doesn’t he want anyone to see his phone?

And elsewhere, Ian goes to an event without Masood, so narked off, he tells the environmen­tal health office that there are rats in Ian’s chippy.

Casualty has become a TV national treasure. At 32 years old, it’s been around long enough that we can’t imagine life without it. We’ll even put up with gory scenes and elevated blood pressure for this fast-paced medical soap opera.

Case in point, in today’s episode there’s a man with a chisel impaled in his hand. Elsewhere, a woman takes drastic action against her nightmare neighbours.
