Husky saved on stretcher while on hike
A HUSKY with cut paws was stretchered to safety from a mountain walk in the Lake District.
Six-year-old Harley refused to budge while returning from a late-night hike to Scafell Pike, Britain’s highest peak, with two woman.
Thirteen members of Keswick Mountain Rescue created a makeshift nest from emergency gear and stretchered him down.
A spokesman said: “It was quickly obvious that the dog would not be able to walk. It is a fit dog, but had cuts on its paws.”
