Firm expansion plans for Belfast & Derry
A FINANCE firm is to create 600 jobs in Northern Ireland, it has been revealed.
Fintru’s expansion will see it establish a 305-strong operation in Derry alongside a further 300 roles in Belfast.
The firm is receiving £5.6million of Government support for creating the opportunities for both graduates and finance professionals.
Around 500 of the roles will be delivered over the next five years through Assured Skills Academies.
Invest NI chief Alastair Hamilton said: “Today’s announcement is another significant re-investment by Fintru.
“We are delighted to have played such a significant role in the company’s rapid growth to date. The jobs will generate over £15million in additional annual salaries for the economy.
“The investment will also make a significant contribution to Northern Ireland’s flourishing financial services sector and will deliver a projected £20million in additional new export sales for the company.”
Fintru provides regulatory services such as legal, risk, compliance, KYC, operations and consultancy to investment banks and other financial institutions.
Founder Darragh Mccarthy said: “Our current operation in Belfast has been hugely successful which has been driven by the exceptional talent we have been able to recruit. I had no hesitation about expanding our presence into the North West due to the highly-attractive location and the availability of talent the region offers.”
