GET ON HER

O’brien filly should wave Bye Bye to chasing pack

- BY PETER O’HEHIR

FOREVER TOGETHER is virtually impossible to oppose in the Group 1 Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes, centrepiece of tomorrow’s eight-race card at the Curragh. Aidan O’brien’s Galileo filly broke her maiden in style when bolting-up in the Investec Oaks in Epsom and, despite dropping back to a mile and a quarter, should notch her second Group 1 success in a race her trainer last won with Minding two years ago. Together Forever gave Donnacha O’brien his second classic success in Epsom, forging clear to beat Qipco 1,000 Guineas fourth and favourite Wild Illusion convincingly by four and a half lengths.

Although Ryan Moore was not on board that day, Forever Together’s win was no surprise as she had been unlucky in running in the Cheshire Oaks, being caught in a pocket before staying on in very eye-catching style to fill the runner-up berth behind another Ballydoyle filly Magic Wand.

Moore rode Magic Wand at Epsom, when she finished fourth, before going on to beat Wild Illusion in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot.

Third in the Epsom race, beaten eight lengths, having made most of the running, was BYE BYE

BABY, another from Aidan O’brien’s formidable team of three-year-old fillies.

Bye Bye Baby had made all to beat Jaega in the

Group 3 Blue Wind over tomorrow’s course and distance prior to her trip to Epsom and looks sure to figure prominently again. But she has plenty to find with her stable-companion Forever Together, which is open to plenty of improvement after just four runs.

The third Ballydoyle runner,

Ribblesdale fourth ATHENA and Fozzy Stack’s HARVEST FOR THE WORLD have plenty to find on ratings.

And there are two older fillies in the field, Jim Bolger’s, inset, TURRET ROCKS,

gutsy winner of a listed race in Gowran Park last time, and British raider URBAN FOX, to be ridden for William Haggas by Danny Tudhope and coming into the race on the back of a handicap win at Ascot and a fourth to Aljazzi in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at the Royal meeting.
