PALACE ARE NOW ON TO A GOOD ING
CRYSTAL PALACE have joined the race to sign £20million-rated Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
Leicester, Newcastle and Southampton were already in the chase to land Ings, who has been told he can leave Anfield.
Ings, who joined Liverpool from Burnley for £6.5m three years ago, has been plagued by injury throughout his time at the Reds.
The 26-year-old has two years left on his current deal, but will struggle for game-time with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane ahead of him – as well as new signing Xherdan Shaqiri.
Turkish side Besiktas have made an approach to Liverpool for keeper Simon Mignolet. Talks have begun between the clubs about the Belgium star, 30, whose future at Anfield was in doubt even before the Reds made
Alisson the world’s most expensive keeper earlier this month.
Mignolet fell down the pecking order at Liverpool last season, losing his place to Loris Karius whose two errors in the Champions League Final defeat to Real Madrid led to boss Jurgen Klopp spending £65m on Roma’s Brazil No.1 Alisson.
Forgotten man Lazar Markovic is a target for Greek club Olympiakos. The Serbia winger has not featured for the Reds since a late substitute appearance against QPR in May 2015.
Since then, the 24-year-old, a £20m signing by former Kop chief Brendan Rodgers in 2014, has had loan spells at Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull and Anderlecht.
