Dyer end for Love Island?

LOVE ISLAND

ITV2, 9pm

AND now, the end is near, and so we face our final coupling.

Yes, after eight weeks over this scorching hot summer, during which the equally hot guys and gals of Love Island have been keeping around three million of us entertained every night, the ultimate holiday romance is coming to an end.

There will be no more dumpings or recouplings, no more declarations of love or loyalty, no more betrayal or bonking, no more shock twists or surprise revelations, and no more chances to charm a partner or the public.

But before all those remaining hot singles start packing their sponsored wardrobes and water bottles into their cases to leave Majorca and head back to Blighty, and before the nation’s young people start panicking about what on earth they’re going to do with themselves at 9pm every night, there’s the small matter of the grand finale.

So who has proved themselves to be the real deal, and made us all believe in love?

Which pairing will be crowned the nation’s favourite couple and walk away with the £50,000 jackpot? (Not to mention also bagging a clothing line, magazine deals and their own reality TV show.)

Host Caroline Flack will be entering the villa to reveal to the islanders who are this year’s golden couple.

With pen salesman Jack Fincham and Dani (daughter of Danny) Dyer being declared the nailed-on favourites early on, thanks to their surprisingly sweet and genuine romance, can anyone else come in as late favourites to snatch victory?
