NIGHTMARE

Old Trafford legend Ince lays into ‘attention seeker’ Pogba and claims the United midfield star is ‘playing stupid games’

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

PAUL POGBA has been accused of being a “nightmare” and of “disrespecting” Manchester United.

Red Devils legend Paul Ince has laid into Pogba for throwing Jose Mourinho’s olive branch back in his face, when the manager made him captain for the victory over Leicester City.

Ince claims Pogba showed a lack of professionalism by claiming afterwards he would be fined if he said what he really felt about his situation at the club.

“You’d like to think that when Pogba went away to the World Cup, where he was fantastic, he’d have come back with a winner’s medal and felt a lot happier going into the new season,” said Ince.

“But since he’s come back, he’s been a nightmare. As a player,

irrespective of whether you’re happy, there are ways to conduct yourself.

“He captained United, played brilliantly, and then came out with those quotes afterwards. He has too much to say. Mourinho made him captain last week, which he seems to underestimate.”

Former midfielder Ince (left), who played for United between 1989-95, added: “I’m just not sure why he’s coming out publicly and disrespecting the club. Other than to get attention.

“But if he’s so desperate to leave, he should just come out and say that and be transparent about it, rather than play stupid games.”
