THE chief financial officer to Donald Trump’s multi-billion-dollar business empire struck an immunity deal.

Allen Weisselberg avoided potential prosecution in return for details about payments to two of the President’s alleged ex-lovers.

And a source said: “Getting him to talk was crucial for prosecutors.

“You only need to look at Al

Capone to see how vital they view the money men.”

Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen Mcdougal led to Mr Trump’s former lawyer

Michael Cohen pleading guilty to eight crimes.

Crucially, as well as fraud charges, he admitted making an illegal campaign finance contribution in 2016. That related to paying off the two women, which Mr Cohen said was carried out at the “direction” of the President. Yesterday it emerged Mr Weisselberg testified before a federal grand jury earlier this year.

He is the latest of the President’s inner circle to co-operate with prosecutors.

Pal David Pecker, who runs the National Enquirer magazine, was also given immunity to reveal deals.

Mr Cohen paid Ms Daniels £100,000 to stay quiet about alleged sex with the US leader, while the mag handed Ms Mcdougal £114,000 for her story but then did not publish it. Mr Trump denies having sex with either woman.
