As champions celebrate their title success Electric Ireland prepares to recognise the Game Changers

DO you know a footballin­g hero? A player, a coach, a manager – or anyone at all who plays an active role in women’s football, the NIWFA Electric Ireland Leagues –a true sporting Game Changer?

Well, this is your chance to reward them!

Electric Ireland, as proud to partner of women’s football across Northern Ireland, has announced that nomination­s are open for the

Electric Ireland NIWFA

Game Changer Award

– an accolade to thank those people making a difference out there on pitches across Northern

Ireland week in, week out.

Clare Mcallister, (inset) Electric Ireland Sales and Marketing Manager NI, said: “We are passionate about nurturing the talent and commitment of girls and women and in supporting participat­ion and health and wellbeing in sport by championin­g women’s football.

“As a partner to NIFWA, we now we want to recognise those Game Changers who have such an impact on the success of female game when the annual awards are held on Friday, October 12. We have seen for ourselves the devotion of players, the commitment of the back-room teams and now we want to reward those individual­s who make a real difference to the game.”

So how about it? If you know that special someone whose commitment goes above and beyond in pursuit of greatness in women’s football, the person whose dedication and pride in their club has your full admiration, then it’s your time to step up and help them get the recognitio­n they deserve.

Register YOUR nomination at www.belfastliv­e.co.uk by September 26. Your entry will need to include the name, club and all the best things about your NIWFA Game Changer nominee, as well as a contact email address for the nominator.

Judges from Electric Ireland, IFA and NIWFA will puruse the entries, before the winner receives their reward on October 12 at Hilton Belfast. Good luck everyone!
