A tough Jim work out ends with real muscle..

-

TEAM USA captain Jim Furyk had a wealth of wildcard options available to him prior to confirming three of his four picks last night.

As expected, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bryson Dechambeau all got the nod for Paris.

But the fact Furyk also had the likes of Kevin Kisner, Matt Kuchar, Zach Johnson and Brandt Snedeker in the frame tells you the strength and depth the Americans have.

It will be really special seeing Tiger (above) teeing it up at a Ryder Cup for the first time since the Miracle of Medinah in 2012.

Woods, who missed out on 2014 with a back injury and was a vice captain at Hazeltine two years ago, sprinkles stardust on any stage.

Dechambeau, the next big thing in American golf, will be buzzing.

He may be referred to as ‘The Golfing Scientist’, but he plays the game with a huge passion.

It would be nice to see him play a bit quicker of course, but overall I like his style.

Dechambeau’s belief in his game sets him apart and he has the ability to achieve great things.

Having him on board makes a hot American team even hotter.

All told, Furyk – who is set to name his fourth wildcard slot after this week’s BMW Championship (I’d be surprised if it isn’t Tony Finau) – boasts depth in his panel.

The Americans are worthy favourites three weeks out from teeing it up at Le Golf National.
