Danske to create 67 new jobs in Derry Ninja go for holiday deals..

One of Northern Ireland’s biggest banks has created 67 new jobs in Derry. Danske Bank said it will be looking for quality assurance managers and analysts at its Customer Protection Centre which will be based at its historic Shipquay Place building in the city centre.

Invest NI has offered the bank £234,500 in assistance.

The centre will complete due diligence checks on personal and business customers, as part of regulatory requiremen­ts for all banks to demonstrat­e an increased responsibi­lity for knowing and understand­ing how customers operate their bank accounts.

Danske Bank’s chief financial officer BARGAIN hunter turned businessma­n Jordan Mccluskey has launched his new website – The Holiday Ninja.

It collates offers and deals from a wide range of travel companies – all tailored specifical­ly for the Northern Ireland market.

Supported by The Holiday Ninja’s social media channels, on which Jordan has built up a Stephen Matchett said “Our successful bid for this new centre to be located here, rather than at one of the Danske Bank Group’s existing European centres, ensures that we remain close to our customer base in Northern Ireland.

“This new team in Derry will be an additional resource supplement­ing existing teams in Lithuania following of more than 20,000, the website will allow users to search for holidays based on type – whether it be city breaks, sunshine holidays, luxury breaks or cruises.

Each offer is fully detailed with contact details for the agency who provided the package. and Poland, and will initially be responsibl­e for completing the checks for customers here in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and London. Recruitmen­t has already started and the positions are expected to be filled by 2020.

Jeremy Fitch, executive director of Business and sector developmen­t at Invest NI, welcomed the investment.

He said: “This is a new and emerging function for Danske Bank operations throughout Europe in response to new financial crime and anti-money laundering legislatio­n.

“As well as offering starting in the region of £17,000 to £18,000, those joining the team in the North West will receive high quality induction training, enjoy a modern working environmen­t, competitiv­e pension benefits, healthcare benefit and a defined career path.”
