WILDLIFE presenter and film-maker Johnny Kingdom has been killed in a horrific accident involving a digger on his land.

Police were called to a field near Wadham Cross in Knowstone, Devon, after reports that a digger had rolled over at about 9pm on Thursday.

Emergency services attended, but Mr Kingdom, 79, died at the scene.

Known for his BBC Four show A Year with the Birds, he was a popular environmentalist who specialised in his local area of Exmoor and north Devon.

In a statement on his Facebook page, his family said: “Unfortunately a legend has been lost.

“Johnny would want you all to continue with his love for Exmoor as you all meant so much to him.” ROBBIE Williams and Ayda Field have announced they have had a baby daughter through a surrogate.

Ayda, 39, who is a judge on this year’s X Factor panel alongside husband Robbie, 44, surprised fans yesterday by announcing on Instagram the arrival of little Colette – known as Coco.

The US actress, who also has daughter Teddy, five, and three-year-old son Charlton with the Angels singer, explained why the couple had not announced sooner that they were expecting the new arrival.

Posting a photo of the family’s hands, she wrote: “I spy with my little eye an extra little hand. So we have been keeping a very special secret!

“We are delighted to share with you
