SEAN DYCHE claims football nomad Matej Vydra can finally find a home at Burnley.

Vydra (left) has spent his career on the road and Burnley are his fifth English side in a little over four years.

The Czech striker had played in four different countries by the age of 20 and is now at his ninth club, but Dyche says he is keen to settle at Turf Moor after scoring twice in his first five games since his £11million switch from Derby.

“I think we have given him a possibility to find a home and it’s for players to grab it and make it their home,” said the Clarets boss ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Cardiff City.

“I think he’s a talented player, he’s certainly earned the right in his career to keep going and forging forward. Now this is another platform for him to step up onto and make a home.

“He’s come here and he wants to fit in. We thought he was the right player to give that chance to. He knows the work ethic of the team and he will have to play his part in that.

“He’s made a good start. He’s nicked a couple of goals and I think there is plenty more to come from him.” Vydra, 26, is keen to prove himself in the Premier League after scoring just three times on loan at West Brom in his only previous top-flight campaign five seasons ago.

He scored 21 goals to win the Championship golden boot last season and Dyche said of his Baggies stint: “He was a young man then earning his spurs.

“He is more rounded in terms of game time now. He’s had different influences and experiences, which have led him to us. Now it’s for him to continue what he’s learned in the past and keep progressing as a player.”
