Leo makes it look easy

- BY DARREN LEWIS @Mirrordarren

CRISIS? What crisis? Wasn’t this supposed to be a Barcelona side there for the taking?

Wasn’t theirs supposed to be a fragile confidence after a threegame, winless run, which included defeat at Leganes and a draw at home to Girona?

It didn’t look that way, as Leo Messi and Co threatened to run riot in the first half-hour.

As delighted as Spurs fans will be with the comeback, this result flattered them. Big time.

There were still fans taking their seats when Messi opened up the Spurs defence with a diagonal ball, Jordi Alba cut it back to Philippe Coutinho (top), who fired it into an empty net.

Where the returning Hugo Lloris had disappeared to, only he can tell you.

Barca’s second was a truly sumptuous, mid-air volley from Ivan Rakitic, which soared past Lloris and in off the post.

Barca should have been out of sight long before Harry Kane and Erik Lamela managed to make a game of it.

But once Kane made it 2-1, Messi decided enough was enough and found the back of the net – twice.

Mauricio Pochettino had said before this match that his players should savour the fact that they were playing against one of the greatest players.

They must have been tempted at times to give applaud him.

Good luck in Spain.
