Mouth Reed just blowing own trumpet

-

PATRICK REED is fast becoming a motor-mouthed caricature of himself.

I love his fight on the course and I respect his golfing achievements, but you have to wonder what goes on in his head sometimes.

His latest outburst on Team USA’S Ryder Cup pairings shows yet again it’s all about Patrick. He obviously believes the world revolves around his ego.

The World No15 was slighted that Jim Furyk broke up his partnership with Jordan Spieth (they went 5-1-2 at Gleneagles and Hazeltine) to pair him with Tiger Woods.

One might think it would be an honour to tee it up alongside one of the all-time legends of the sport at a Ryder Cup.

Not so for a man who loves a headline-grabbing moan.

As ever with Reed and his family, it has turned into a circus, even though Furyk insists the Texan knew of his pairing plans all along.

Reed may be a major champion, but he really needs to take stock and realise the world isn’t against him.

At the moment, his antics are tiresome.

He risks being remembered for all the wrong reasons.
