Hopes Liam will be on his feet by Xmas

A BOY who survived a catastrophic brain injury will be on his feet before Christmas, his family revealed yesterday.

Liam Mccallum, 11, was playing football when he was hit by a car last year.

Parents Ali and Natasha were advised to allow his life support machine to be switched off.

But they refused and stayed by his side until three weeks ago he was accepted as a rehabilitation client at the Children’s Trust Tadsworth.

Dad Ali, from Bushmills, Co Antrim, said: “We’re so happy Liam is working so hard at his rehab and it is showing because we got such good news.

“Seeing his progress is helping everyone.” THESE chilling photos show members of the Hitler Youth on a guided tour of British landmarks – just a year before the outbreak of the Second World War.

The holiday snaps of the young Nazis include ones of them posing in front of Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge. The teenagers, who were guided by a British Nazi sympathiser, also had their photos taken with a Beefeater at the Tower of London.

Their trip took in Windsor Castle, where the Royal Family sought refuge during the Blitz of London. The German visitors arrived on the SS Stockport at Grimsby, Lincs, in July, 1938.

They were given a tour of England by Admiral Sir Barry Domvile, who was arrested for being a Nazi sympathiser during the war.

The group visited York, Oxford, Cambridge
