HEALY: LOSING WILL NOT BE THE DUN THING

- BY DARREN FULLERTON

Dungannon v Linfield Today, 3pm

LINFIELD boss David Healy is determined the Blues aren’t on the end of second coupon busting result in seven days at Stangmore Park.

Colin Nixon’s Ards stunned the Big Two giants at odds of 9/1 with a shock 2-1 win at the Bangor Fuels Arena last weekend.

And Dungannon Swifts, rooted to the foot of the table, will be similar outsiders when they host the Windsor Park men this afternoon.

Healy branded the Ards defeat a “wake up call” and said it would “make sure we aren’t getting above ourselves”.

He added: “Dungannon will be another tough game. No matter whether it is Kris [Lindsay] in charge or Rodney [Mcaree] you go there and know you will be in for a test.

“Rodney wanted Dungannon to play a certain way and maybe Kris will vary it, but we certainly know we’ll need 100 percent effort and heart from our players to get the three points.”

Linfield got back to winning ways on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Big Two rivals Glentoran in the quarterfinals of the County Antrim Shield.

An Andy Waterworth goal in extratime eased the Blues into the hat for the draw which will be made on Radio Ulster today.

Healy said: “We deservedly went through and I couldn’t fault was the workrate and attitude. We’ll have to show the same at Dungannon.”
