The number sleeping rough has more than doubled since the Tories came to power in 2010, when there were 1,768 people living on the streets.
Earlier this year the Govern- ment said it was spending £100million to tackle the issue.
But half had already been committed to tackling rough sleeping and homelessness, with the rest “reprioritisation” within existing budgets.
