I FANCY MY GIRLFRIEND’S SISTER

-

Dear Coleen

My girlfriend, who I’ve been with for six months, lives with her younger sister. A couple of weeks ago, I went over there, but arrived a bit earlier than I said I would.

Her sister was there alone and told me to come in and wait. She had just got out of the shower and was wearing a short robe. She’s very attractive and I found myself very turned on.

Nothing happened, but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about her since. I feel guilty for feeling like this, but I’ve barely thought about my girlfriend in a sexual way since that moment with her sister. Should I even be with her if I feel like this?

Coleen says

We’re human and have instincts, and it’s normal to find other people attractive, even if we’re in a relationship. I think it’s how you deal with those feelings that’s important in the context of a relationship.

If you’re constantly having these feelings for other women or act on those feelings then it’s safe to say you’re not with the right person. You’ve been with your girlfriend for only six months – you should still be in the honeymoon period of ripping off each other’s clothes every chance you get!

If you’re having doubts, take a break to see how you feel or at least suggest she starts coming round to your place so her sister won’t be there as a distraction.
