Not one jot of remorse from tan man who divided Britain

-

AS his former colleagues sweated it out over many hours in the Commons yesterday, where was David Cameron?

Nipping out of his Notting Hill mansion sporting the bronze glow of a man who’s been chillaxing – trotters up – on a £1,700a-night surf break in Costa Rica.

No wonder he fancies coming back as Foreign Secretary. That tan is TOWIE deep. Except in his case The Only Way Is Eton.

Of every villain of this piece, every politician and rabble-rouser who should hang their head in shame tonight, Cameron is the one most to blame.

The oily salesman who thought it’d be a wheeze to hold an EU referendum. The Brexit architect who left a great carbuncle on the national skyline. The man at No10 who opened up a can of worms and then couldn’t be bothered to clear them up after they wriggled out of the tin.

From that arrogant decision and the lazy campaign that followed, has come the greatest division our country has known in the modern era.

Bitter internal division inside his party, our nation, and the breaking of bonds with our nearest neighbours and allies.

Whatever happens next, our country will never be the same again.

Yet, even today there was not one jot of contrition from Dash Cam as he sprinted past reporters. Not one iota of responsibility for this mess appears to have occurred to him while he picks his nose in his man shed or lies on a beach.

Another calibre of person would be volunteering with the homeless. But Cameron just keeps on sunbathing, on a honeymoon with himself that never ends.
