Ship units lift for homeless

SOCIAL entrepreneurs are helping rough sleepers by transforming shipping containers into homes.

The two units are among dozens of containers being turned into living spaces by Help Bristol’s Homeless.

Property firm Colliers International has a key role in the project, which includes backing from EDF Energy, Barratt Homes and Balfour Beatty.

Homeless’s founder, restaurateur Jasper Thompson, said: “It’s been a whole community effort.”
