Tourney’s kids earn Seahawks derby tie
NEWBUILDINGS UNITED – with the youngest squad of any of the eight clubs left in this season’s Match Intermediate Cup – have been drawn at home to Johnny Law’s Portstewart in the quarter-finals.
The sole NI Intermediate League respresentatives brought two busloads of fans to Moneyslane at the weekend and the long trip from the North West proved worthwhile with man of the match Dylan Mccorkell, who received his award from Alistair Gray of the Irish FA Intermediate Cup Committee (right), playing his part in their 4-1 tie of the round win.
In last night’s draw, which was broadcast live from the Daily Mirror HQ to Match Online Facebook, the Queen’s University v Crewe United meeting was chosen as the tie to watch This time round when the two sides meet on Saturday, March 9.
