Cops release final images of child killer

The final images of a child killer taken hours before he was allegedly murdered have been released.

David Gaut, 54, was stabbed more than 150 times while still alive, a further 26 times after he died, and his fingernails were cut off postmortem.

The CCTV footage shows Gaut at Caerphilly station on August 2.

Prosecutors in the trial at Newport crown court say David Osborne, 51, and Ieuan Harley, 23, murdered Gaut just after learning he had killed 15-month-old Chi Ming Shek in 1985.

Osborne, from New Tredegar, South Wales and Harley, deny murder.

Darran Evesham, 47, and Harley deny perverting the course of justice, which Osborne admits.
