Noel and Liam are sue bitter

Gallagher brothers go to war over footage of Oasis songs

- BY ASHLEIGH RAINBIRD Diary Editor

LIAM Gallagher claims brother Noel has threatened to sue if he sings Oasis songs in a new film. Noel particularly objects to Liam’s performance of Live Forever at a concert for victims of the 2017 Manchester bomb being included in the documentary As It Was. It will chart Liam’s journey to solo success with his LP As You Were. But Noel, 51, and his management team, Ignition, have fired off a warning about content to Liam, 46. Liam said: “I’ve just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at Ignition if I use any footage of me singing Oasis, yes, Oasis songs in AS IT WAS. Who’s bitter now eh?”

He claimed the content in question was filmed at the One Love Manchester tribute concert after the Manchester Arena bombing.

Noel did not attend the concert as he was on holiday in Italy with his wife Sara Macdonald.

Liam said: “So it’s the footage of me singing Live Forever at the One Love concert that’s upset team NG,.

“Maybe it’s the shame of the not so mighty little fella not showing up because he was too busy supping bubbles on a dinghy with what’s her face.” The film is also understood to contain footage from Liam’s Finsbury Park gigs in London last year.

On tour, Liam performs Oasis songs written by Noel, including Wonderwall and Be Here Now.

Noel gets paid royalties and has said: “As long as he keeps filling out the little form at the end of every gig... it’s all good.”
