Kate: I’m feeling broody for No4
Duchess says she ‘feels broody’ after meeting Ulster tot James
THE Duchess of Cambridge joked about having a fourth baby after saying she felt a “little broody” on the second day of her visit to Northern Ireland.
Kate’s admission came as she met five-month-old James Barr, who she described as “gorgeous”.
His dad Alan quipped, “baby number four?” and the
Duchess laughed: “I think
William would be a little worried.”
The Duchess, 37, also commented on a little girl’s coat, saying, “I love your cool coat. Charlotte loves pink.”
She and the Duke were cheered by hundreds in
Ballymena, Co Antrim.
Owen Mcauley, 10, who shook William’s hand, said: “I didn’t know who he was. Someone told me he was Harry’s brother, then I knew.”
After a 15-minute walkabout, they visited the Braid Arts Centre, where young people work with Cinemagic – a charity that educates using film, TV and digital technology.
They also showed how comfortable they are with kids during messy play time at St Joseph’s Surestart facility. They praised mums who had overcome the “struggle” of breastfeeding and revealed they get up in the night with George, five, Charlotte, three, and Louis, 10 months, rather than relying on staff.
Earlier, the royals spoke about mental health with PSNI officers at Hillsborough Castle.
At a speech in Belfast William referred to the divisions caused by Brexit. And he told how Olympic gold medal winner Mary Peters had “inspired generation after generation to come together in ‘times of trouble’ and work for the common good – a lesson I hope many of us can learn from”.
