LUKE Perry, who starred in TV show Beverly Hills 90210, has reportedly suffered a massive stroke.

The 52-year-old American actor was taken to hospital after paramedics were called to his home.

The heart-throb played bad boy Dylan Mckay in the teenage drama series, which originally aired from 1990 to 2000.

One of his co-stars, Ian Ziering, 54, who played Steve Sanders in the show, said: “No words can express what my heart feels hearing today’s shocking news.

“Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery.”

Shannen Doherty, 47, who played Brenda Walsh in the series, posted a photo online of her and Luke hugging during their time on the programme.

Since 2016, Luke has played

Fred Andrews in hit drama series Riverdale. The actor’s representative, Arnold Robinson, said “Perry is under observation at the hospital”, but would not confirm the reason why.

The reported stroke came on the day plans were announced to reunite the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 for a sixepisode summer series.

Luke is not set to appear in the reboot, but original stars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Ian Ziering, are due to return. Luke, who lives in Sherman Oaks, California, appeared in eight of the 10 original series, only missing seasons seven and eight. He was one of the early breakout stars.

Luke broke fans’ hearts when he wed in 1993. The marriage to Rachel Sharp lasted until 2003. They have two kids.
