ANCELOTTI’S FASCINATED BY GUNNERS

- BY JOHN CROSS

CARLO ANCELOTTI has warned Napoli face a “fascinating challenge” after being drawn against Arsenal.

The former Chelsea boss (above) admits his side are in for a tough test as he prepares to return to England for the quarterfinal tie.

Arsenal were dealt a blow when the first leg with Napoli had to be reversed as Chelsea had already been drawn away, meaning Unai Emery’s team will host Napoli on April 11 to avoid both teams playing in London on the same night.

“A difficult but very fascinating challenge for us, for the club and for our fans,”said boss Ancelotti.

Gunners fans will be given safety guidelines for the return leg on April 18 as Napoli is notorious for crowd problems. Defender Sead Kolasinac has warned Arsenal must learn the lessons of their tie with Rennes, which saw them squeeze through after losing the away leg 3-1.

“Obviously it’s always very difficult when you lose the first game,” he said. “It’s something we are going to work on in the next round. The key will be to start better than in these last two ties.”

He also believes six English teams reaching the quarter-finals of the European competitions shows the Premier League is the best.

He added: “It proves that when people say the Premier League is the best league around, they are not saying it for free. We’re of course proud to have progressed in the Europa League.”
