a customs hut was built in the South it wouldn’t be up one night before it’d be blown up.

“There would be an army presence on the border because of a fear of violence and that would only antagonise others.

UNIONISTS

“A lot of unionists want this border because they want Northern Ireland to stay in the UK and Ireland to go its own way. They don’t care what you will get for your milk or your beef.

“They want to kneel down to the Queen because they fear Northern ireland being detached from the UK.”

Chris Whyte, from Derrynoose in Co Armagh, has pumped both sweat and a lot of money into starting up a new business.

The 35-year-old is worried a no-deal Brexit will jeopardise customers using his mobile storage units.

He said: “I take a mobile storage container to people’s homes and load up their belongings. It’s a temporary storage space. What will happen when I have customers in the South using the service but am faced with a checkpoint while crossing the border?

“Their belongings are meant to be locked away and secured. Will I have to open people’s units that are packed away neatly and allow them to be searched?

“It would only be a matter of time before personal belongings are broken and that is not good customer service.”
