NEW LEASE OF LIFE FOR CO DOWN WOMAN WHO SHED THE STONES

-

planning around your meals – that’s what I liked about it.

“I didn’t feel guilty if I was out at the weekend and had a few drinks and a meal. I got straight back onto the plan the next day.

“The amount of food and choice I had was brilliant and that helped me stick with it.”

What Anita really found useful was that the WW weekly workshops didn’t only educate you about the nutritional values in foods but also helped with creating the right mindset to lose weight. This she credits as a key ingredient to her weight lose success.

“WW are very much into your mental health - your mindset, what way you think and making time for yourself.

“I think that’s really important because losing weight is a lot about your mindset.”

The Co Down woman has managed to shed an incredible six stone and feels like she’s got her love of life back. Exercising and going shopping are now enjoyable activities instead of being dreaded chores.

“I used to dread going clothes shopping because you want something stylish and there isn’t the same choice and no matter what you buy anyway, when you put it on, you think it doesn’t look right. You think oh my God look at the size of me in this and you don’t want to go out.

“All that has changed drastically since I’ve lost weight. I love going shopping now.”

She added: “As for exercise I started off just doing 15 minutes walking but the more weight I got off the more energy I had. What took me an hour, as time went on, would take me 30 or 40 minutes.

“I go and play Badminton now and go to Boxercise.

“It used to be that I could hardly walk the length of myself and now people say I’m never in the house!”

She added: “When the weight starts to shift you gain confidence overall.

“Anyone can do it if you believe in yourself and have that support there.”
