HUGO LLORIS may soon be off for a final fling in Major League Soccer.
But for now the France captain, 32, revealed that Mauricio Pochettino is the glue keeping him at White Hart Lane in another reminder of how important the Tottenham boss is in preventing the whole project from unravelling.
Lloris was adamant in an interview with France Football that he would not see out his career in the Premier League.
“You have to know how to say stop at the right time, but I’m not against the idea of discovering something new,” he said. “It can also be the United States, for example.
“But I never really opened the doors to the idea of leaving Tottenham because I felt like I was happy where I was.
“It’s not a lack of ambition on my part, it’s just that I’m part of a project and every year I’ve seen the progress to reinforce my decision.”
But that could change if Pochettino were to leave Spurs. “If tomorrow I felt there was a regression, certainly I’d then ask the question,” Lloris (right) added. “But
Mauricio has got the perfect profile.
He’s part of a project.
“He has shown a lot of loyalty to Tottenham. He’s invested 200 per cent in the club and its supporters.
“I have a strong relationship with him on a human level too. I like his football ideas, I like his personality.
