The viewers know nothing, darling...

Strictly judge Craig on Dev row

CRAIG Revel Horwood has unleashed his acid tongue on Strictly Come Dancing viewers after Dev Griffin left the show, saying they know nothing.

The public were stunned when the Radio 1 presenter and partner Dianne Buswell were axed by judges on Sunday.

Craig, 54, hit back: “They can kick off as much as they like. How much do they know about the cha-cha-cha? Nothing, darling... so they can kick off.”

Dev, 34, admitted he was “gutted” to be sent home so ACTRESS Olivia Olson, best known for playing Joanna in Love Actually when she was 10, hopes appearing on The X Factor: Celebrity will help her move on and become a full-time singer.

In the 2003 rom-com, Olivia, now 27, sang All I Want For Christmas Is You for her young admirer Sam, played by Thomas Brodie-sangster.

She said: “I’m kind of hoping that if I get through to the live shows I can shed that image a little bit. It won’t be, ‘Oh, she’s the little girl from Love Actually’, it’ll be, ‘She’s Olivia, a grown woman who’s a music artist’.”

Olivia released an album, Nowhere Land, in 2018, but says: “For some people I will always be Joanna.” early on after facing the danceoff against Viscountess Emma Weymouth, 33, and Aljaz Skorjanec, 29. Ex-strictly dancer James Jordan claimed: “The judges didn’t do their jobs... I was irritated by the judges. It was a bit of a farce.” Speaking at Best magazine’s Heroes Awards at the Bloomsbury Hotel in Central London, Craig said: “James Jordan is just out for publicity and if he was on the judging panel, I’m telling you... you have to judge on what you see.

“Was Dev the right person to go on the night? Yes. Would he have been better in the future? Yes. Was he better in the past? Yes.

“He just got a dance he wasn’t particularly good at and made a mistake. Dev was the worst dancer on the night.” Craig added his comments on the BBC1 show are meant to be helpful not nasty. He said of the celebs: “They are famous because they can do something they are good at. So when you are criticised it hurts more because you are not used to it.”

Judge Shirley Ballas, 59, blamed the viewers for the fans’ favourite going home. She said: “People have got to get out there and vote.”
