Harry Dunn’s parents: We fear cover-up
Gambling addiction ‘link’ found
THE parents of biker Harry Dunn believe they have been victims of a cover-up over his death.
Harry, 19, died after a crash with a car allegedly driven on the wrong side of the road by Anne Sacoolas on August 27 near RAF Croughton, Northants.
Sacoolas, 42, claimed diplomatic immunity and returned to the US.
Harry’s mum Charlotte Charles and dad Tim Dunn are due home, after a trip to the US to seek justice.
Their spokesman Radd Seiger said they had concerns of “misconduct and a cover-up on both sides of the Atlantic”.
The family said: “The Americans are ruthlessly not letting her return. We are trying to find out why.”
They want Sacoolas extradited and charged. LOTTERY chiefs have stopped selling £10 scratchcards amid fears they could be sparking gambling addiction.
Camelot has told all retailers to take them down from displays.
But it stressed that where top prize tickets have been sold – two of £4million on the “Black” game plus one of £2million on Diamond 7 – jackpots can still be claimed.
Camelot withdrew the £10 cards due to “player protection considerations”, not cost factors, a spokesman said, adding: “We became aware that, unlike our other scratchcards, these games over-indexed among problem gamblers.
“Even though it’s widely acknowledged that the risk of problem play associated with our games is very low, player protection has always underpinned the way we run The National Lottery.” The Gambling Commission said information emerged “which highlighted a possible link between problem gamblers and the £10 scratchcard”. Players have 180 days to claim prizes after the game’s closure date.
