TOSIN HEADS A REMINDER TO BOSS PEP

- BY LINDSAY SUTTON

TOSIN ADARABIOYO may have a tongue-twisting name, but he has a message for Pep Guardiola.

The 22-year-old Manchester City Academy starlet, on loan with Rovers, wants his boss to know he is ready for action at the Etihad.

Adarabioyo (above) scored an eye-catching late equaliser to rub out Jacob Murphy’s strike for Wednesday, leaving Rovers’ sub John Buckley with the task of steering in an even later winner.

The two goals in three minutes stunned the in-form Owls, who were favourites to add to their tally of 15 points since Garry Monk took over as boss.

But it left Adarabioyo dreaming of his City boss taking note of his performance, his beautifullyexecuted looping header into the net and Blackburn’s first win in seven games.

The big defender said: “I want to show Pep Guardiola I’m up to the job. I’ve been at City since I was five and my aim has always been to get into the first team.

“I’m here at Blackburn to improve, just like when I was on loan at West Brom. I just want to show I’m ready for consideration.”

“It was great to get my first goal at Ewood Park and it was a good result for us. I’m learning every day, I’m developing as a player and I feel I’m getting better.

“I’m working on being more dominant in the air. I don’t see a massive difference between being in the Under-23 side at the Etihad and making a mark at first team level. I’m ready to show people if the opportunity comes.”

Owls boss Monk said: “That was tough to take. A lack of concentration cost us.”
