Gulf between I’m a Celeb star Nadine & bandmates
NADINE Coyle says she has only spoken to one of her Girls Aloud bandmates in six years.
The I’m a Celebrity... contestant has also drifted apart from that member of the group, Sarah Harding.
Nadine, 34, said she last talked to her when Sarah did Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
The group, which also featured Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola
Roberts, split in
2013 after a reunion tour.
Nadine said: “I haven’t seen or spoken to them since the end of
Girls Aloud or just before I had my daughter. That’s about six years ago. Sarah more recently at the start of Big Brother.”
Asked if the other girls might vote for her to do some of the horrible bushtucker trials, she added: “I don’t know. I’m not even thinking about it as a competition... I had to enter a singing competition to get into Girls Aloud whereas this is like
who’s going to be the best jungler. Who makes the best fire, who makes the best water. I have no idea if they would vote for me. Why is it like this? It is just how it is.” There were rumours for years that Nadine did not get on with certain members of the group.
She also says she feels “a bit of mummy guilt” for leaving her five-year-old daughter Anaiya behind to go on the ITV show, which starts on Sunday.
She added: “You love them so much. Let’s not talk about it, I might cry.”
Nadine, who describes herself as single, split this year from Anaiya’s father, Jason Bell, 41, an American football pundit for the BBC.
