THE top four in Intermedia­te A all won at the weekend to turn the heat up on the title contest.

Rectory Rangers, coming off the back of five games without a victory, were comfortabl­e 4-1 winners at home against Laurelvale.

Banbridge Rangers picked up a 3-1 win at Valley Rangers which arguably has knocked the Kilkeel men out of the title race.

After Ryan Mcmurray had put Valley in front in the first minute,

Josh Cahoon scored twice in two minutes to turn the game on its head leading into half-time.

And he wrapped up his hat-trick with 15 minutes to go by firing home with his left foot.

Richhill AFC made life tricky for Ballymacas­h Rangers only for goals from Kenny Campbell and Aaron Mckee to hand the visitors victory.

Crewe United and Hanover played out a thrilling eight-goal contest in Glenavy which fell in the favour of the hosts.

Hanover actually went 2-0 up through Gareth Rees and Jack Mcivor before Dan Smith got one back on the stroke of half-time.

Five minutes into the second period Stephen Brown levelled things up and on 75 Crewe were in front for the first time through Michael Mcquitty.

Dan Smith made it 4-2 on 80 minutes and, after Rees pulled one back, Conor Maxwell made sure of the win with Crewe’s fifth of the afternoon.

The game between Moneyslane and Bourneview Mill finished in a 2-2 draw.

This weekend, it’s Rectory Rangers at home to champions Hanover while Oxford Sunnyside host Valley

Rangers, Laurelvale go to Moneyslane and Ballymacas­h are away to Bourneview Mill.
