Caprice: I had to quit show for my mental wellbeing
Star had clash with ice dance partner
CAPRICE Bourret has quit Dancing On Ice because her “mental wellbeing has been affected” by the show.
The model and businesswoman, 48, had returned to the show last weekend with her new partner Oscar Peter, a week after she and her former skating partner Hamish Gaman parted ways.
She was originally paired with Hamish, but during a live broadcast last month, it was announced they would not skate together any more after clashing in training.
A statement issued by Caprice’s publicist said: “It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing On Ice. It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons.
“Her mental wellbeing has been affected over the last two months and

recent stories leaked to the press are not only salacious but extremely hurtful. Now she’s taking time to recover and look after herself and her family.”
Sources close to Caprice also insisted she was disappointed in the way she had been treated by ITV after the incident with Hamish which saw them split and she also felt bullied.
Hamish, who has remained on the hit ITV show, addressed their split for the first time this week on social media. He said:
“Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your kind messages.
“I’m not okay, but I’d like to thank Amelia, my pro family and ITV for doing all they can to support me.”
The reason for their split has not been officially announced. An ITV spokeswoman said: “Caprice will not be taking any further part in the series.”
In a separate statement, the rep added: “We take allegations of bullying very seriously, but found no evidence on Dancing On Ice and we strongly refute any suggestion to the contrary. “We are committed to ensuring that everyone who works on the programme is fully supported.”
Ex-footballer Kevin Kilbane and partner Brianne Delcourt were voted out last night after a skate off against Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Matt Evers. Paralympian Libby Clegg did not take part due to a viral bug.
