CHRIS SHERRARD THERE IS MAGIC IN KINGSTON

in the Foster Cup final at Holm Park on March 20. “That will be a really great occasion for the whole club,” Latimer told Match On Tuesday.

“It’s something exciting to look forward to and a fantastic experience for everyone involved with the club.

“It’s a first senior cup final for the club and one we’re really looking forward to.

“But we can’t let it distract us from the league games before then because we need to maintain our focus on that challenge too.”

Having been forced to sit out a fortnight of football due to the storms, Armagh showed little sign of rustiness on their return to action at the weekend.

They stretched their unbeaten streak to six matches with a 5-0 win away to Hillsborough Boys.

Goals from Matty Wright, Simon Andrews, William Crozier, Ally Dodds and an own goal resulted in a straightforward three points for the Blues.

Next up they face a home test against a West End Hibs side who have been inconsistent this season but are capable of springing a surprise.

Aware of that, Latimer has called for more of the same from his talballyvea ented panel. He said: “I was a bit worried about the game on Saturday because we hadn’t played for a few weeks and hadn’t faced Hillsborough so far this season.

“They have had a few good results so we were wary but from the off you could see the boys were on it all over the pitch and determined to win the game.

“It was a really good performance and we could have scored more goals on the day.

“West End Hibs could be similar because they have caused us a few problems when we’ve played them.

“They did so earlier in the season and they’ve a good young side capable of hurting you.

“We will have the same attitude as we did on Saturday and aim for a similar performance and result.”
