England star ‘rape arrest’ as model is taken to hospital
Hudson-odoi held at his flat
CHELSEA and England star Callum Hudson-odoi has been arrested after rape claims.
Winger Hudson-odoi, 19, was held at 4am at his luxury flat after a model he met online was taken to hospital.
Police were later seen at the apartment building in South West London interviewing staff.
A further five officers arrived at around 2.30pm.
Hudson-odoi was released following questioning as detectives continue to investigate.
A representative of Hudsonodoi, who said he was speaking on the player’s behalf, was quoted as saying: “He says he’s innocent. That’s all you need to know.
“He’s innocent, he hasn’t done anything wrong.
“We’ve got no other comment to make.”
Neighbours of the player were quoted as saying that the acquaintance seen in the building was “very glamorous”.
Scotland Yard said: “Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53hrs on Sunday to a report of an unwell woman. “When emergency services attended, a women reported that she was raped.
“A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of rape.
“He was released and bailed to return on a date in mid-june.” A
London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We sent an ambulance crew and treated a person at the scene before taking them to hospital.”
Hudson-odoi recently signed a five-year contract worth £120,000a-week that has made him one of the highest-earning teens in football. He self-isolated after contracting Covid-19 in March.
In a video message posted on March 13, he confirmed he had tested positive for the virus and thanked fans for their good wishes.
He said that he had the virus “for the last couple of days” but that he was “fine”, adding: “I hope to see everyone soon, and hope to be back on the pitch very soon. Take care.”
The teen broke through into the senior ranks of the England set-up after a highly successful run in the Chelsea academy.
Hudson-odoi was part of the squads which won the U18 Premier League in 2017 as well as back-toback FA Youth Cup titles.
His brother Bradley ended his playing career with Woking after less than a month to be his agent.
Chelsea did not respond when they were contacted by the Mirror for a comment.
