William’s tribute to Charles
BOTH beaming from ear to ear, there are no heirs and graces as William pulls dad Charles in for a tender hug in this intimate snap.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released the touching image yesterday for Father’s Day. It was taken by Kate, 38, at Sandringham last December and shows hubby Wills and the Prince of Wales, 72, looking relaxed and dressed casually in winter coats.
The shot was posted on Instagram along with a childhood photo of Kate with her father, Michael Middleton. The heartwarming images carried the simple message: “Happy Father’s
Day!” Later, heir to the throne Charles also shared the picture of him and Wills – recognising his son’s extraspecial Father’s Day, as he was celebrating his 38th birthday.
On Saturday, the Cambridges had released snaps Kate took of William larking about with their kids George, six, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, on a swing.
And earlier yesterday, Charles posted a poignant photo of himself with sons William and Harry at a polo match in 2004. This was the first Father’s Day the family have celebrated since Harry, 35, stepped back from royal duties and moved to LA with wife Meghan, 38, and son Archie, one. Charles also paid tribute to his own dad, the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh, posting a 1951 image taken in the grounds of Clarence House. It showed Prince Philip carrying Charles while the Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, cradles a young Princess Anne.
Charles wrote: “Whether you are a Father, a Dad, a Daddy or a Pa, wishing you a Happy Father’s Day!”
