Home loans applicants to ‘shop around’

MORTGAGE applicants may need to switch lenders to get their loan approved, experts have said.

A survey Mymortgages. ie shows moves by some financial firms to stall has led to concern.

Spokesman Joey Sheahan aid: “Mortgages have been the source of much debate with lenders tightening restrictions and even holding back.

“While this is true for some lenders, others are open for business.

“We have got mortgage seekers and ‘almost there’ homeowners back on track with applications and approvals – even if it meant switching lenders.”
