ANT: LET’S GO OUT & DECK BIG BOYS NOW

- BY JAMES NURSEY

MICHAIL ANTONIO insists West Ham are determined to carry on their red-hot Premier League form – despite daunting fixtures in the pipeline.

Hitman Antonio (above) struck his second goal of the season in yesterday’s impressive win at Leicester.

It followed a 4-0 thrashing of Wolves in the top flight the previous weekend.

Next up the Hammers visit Tottenham before playing Manchester City and Liverpool.

But Antonio, 30, said: “We have started the season well, let’s carry it on.

“People said the last games were tricky but we won one 4-0 and the other one 3-0.

“We are working on playing with the ball more and the shape with great counterattacks.

“You see it becoming the finished article and all we need to do now is keep going out there winning games.

“We have a nice little break now and hopefully we can keep the performances after the break ends.

“We have gone out there and given a good performance – and we need to make sure we carry it on.”

Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen were also on target in the emphatic win with

Declan Rice hitting the woodwork.

West Ham secured a clean sheet after

Harvey Barnes had a late goal ruled out by

VAR for offside.

The Hammers defence celebrated that decision which coach Alan Irvine reckons shows their determined mindset.

Irvine, deputising for isolating boss

David Moyes on the touchline, said: “You could see the reaction when they didn’t score.

“It is important to them.

“I am not sure how important it was to them previously. But there is a pride at keeping clean sheets and they know if they do that we have plenty of firepower at the other end of the pitch.”
