VIKTOR CAN BE A WINNER LIKE RHIAN

-

VIKTOR GYOKERES wants to follow Rhian Brewster along the Swansea fast track to Premier League stardom.

Gyokeres came off the bench for his Swans debut and helped secure victory.

The 22-year-old loanee from Brighton (above) hopes to emulate Brewster, who secured a £23.5million move from Liverpool to Sheffield United via six months at the Swans.

“I heard Brewster did well when he came here, so, yeah, I want to do the same,” said Gyokeres.

“One of my friends from Sweden is a Swansea fan, so he told me a few things about the club.

“He’s a Swansea fan because he’s half-spanish and there were a lot of Spanish guys here back in the days when this club was in the Premier League.

Swans manager Steve Cooper confessed he was only told that winger Kristoffer Peterson was being sold to German side Fortuna Dusseldorf for £500,000 on Saturday morning, by a blunt text.

“I had a message to ask for him not to be involved,” admitted Cooper who was happier with his team after goals from Jake Bidwell and Ben Cabango, either side of one for Millwall’s Tom Bradshaw, kept them near the top of the table.

Lions boss Gary Rowett said: “I have to say our normal resolute defensive nature was not there.” SWANSEA: Benda 7, Cabango 8, Rodon 8, Guehi 7, Roberts 7, Smith 6, Grimes 7, Bidwell 7, Gibbs-white 7 (Fulton 78, 5), Ayew 6, Lowe 6 (Gyokeres

74, 6)

MILLWALL: Bialkowski 6, Romeo 5, Cooper 6, Pearce 6 (Bodvarsson 84), Hutchinson 6, Malone 6, Leonard 7, Woods 6, J Wallace 7, Bradshaw 7 (Smith 74, 6), Bennett 6 (Mahoney

74, 6)
